A Day at Epcot – Scrapbook Album

Spent this weekend participating in a virtual scrapbooking retreat. My friends and I were on zoom from our craft rooms. So happy that I completed an entire album. It was my MIL first trip to Disney. So glad we were able to go last year!

Happy (little-bit-late) Birthday Card

Standard

Today’s card is called a triangle fold card. I love sending homemade cards to friends and family but, sometimes, my timing is a bit off! So I decide to make a belated birthday card (might need to make a few more!)

To create this card I used: Close To My Heart Confetti Wishes cardstock, pattern papers ,and embellishment, sentiment from Stampin’ Up Happiest of Birthday’s cling stamp set, Simon Hurley create dye ink pad – triple berry, blue twine for balloon string, Velcro to close the card, and balloons cut using Silhouette Cameo 3.

Pattern paper: (2) pieces 4″ x 5.25″ cut diagonally

Balloons: approx 2.5″ x 2.75″

Tri-fold Card – Celebrate Today

Standard

I love everything about homemade cards! They are fun to make and really allow me to be creative. Plus when I send them I know that my friends and family appreciate the time, love, effort I put into making them. Of course, I also love receiving them and I am lucky to have quite a few friends who are card makers too. The card I’m sharing today is called a tri-fold card. I used the Animal Safari paper pad from Echo Park Paper Co. for the patterned papers. I just used scissors to fussy cut my butterflies and then foam squares to pop them up. I used American Crafts card stock and cut the floral pieces on my Silhouette Cameo 3. Finally I used Simon Hurley Create dye inks from Ranger.

My Favorite Children’s Book

Standard

Today’s layout challenge had me thinking about a favorite childhood book and the lessons learned from it. Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak was one story I treasured and read countless times. When my sons were little it was also one of their favorites! It is a children’s story but the lessons work for adults as well.

Paper and stickers from Paper House. Title designed using silhouette business edition software and cut on a Silhouette Cameo.
