Spent this weekend participating in a virtual scrapbooking retreat. My friends and I were on zoom from our craft rooms. So happy that I completed an entire album. It was my MIL first trip to Disney. So glad we were able to go last year!
I was playing around with textured shapes and was inspired to create this digital page about our vow renewal in Maui in 2018. After the crazy year we’ve had, I am dreaming of a return trip ❤️

Today’s layout challenge had me thinking about a favorite childhood book and the lessons learned from it. Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak was one story I treasured and read countless times. When my sons were little it was also one of their favorites! It is a children’s story but the lessons work for adults as well.

Rome had always been a city I dreamed of visiting. My husband felt the same way. We almost went there for our honeymoon but the cost was a bit steep for us at the time. We both agreed that “someday” we would go there together. It took us twenty years but we finally made it to “the Eternal City” and it was as spectacular as we had hoped. We may have had to wait two decades but it was definitely worth the trip!

Today’s layout challenge from Scrap Happy was to find inspiration in a magazine cover. The recent issue with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell inspired me to “scraplift” the cover and design a page with my guy. Designed using Artisan 6 software.
When my two sons were little I always called them my boys. When they became adults I called them … well, my BOYS. Yes they’re both grown adult men now. I was recently asked what I call them since “boys” makes them sound like they’re still little. Honestly I can’t imagine calling them anything else. Am I crazy?

I created this digital layout in celebration of our 25th vow renewal on the beach in Hawaii. I created the kaleidoscope effect using a photo of my floral bouquet. Page designed in Artisan 5 software.
