Missing my mom and partner in crime so much! She was a funny, quirky lady who never took herself too seriously. I’ll miss that! We took a trip to Busch Gardens about 4 months ago and had a blast. I made this page for her and she loved it. Today is her memorial so I thought it was a good day to share this layout. Enjoy Every Moment. Isn’t that the truth! It’s how she tried to live her life as do I!
Chloe lost her Grandma just the other day and I know how hard this will be for her. My mother-in-law was an awesome lady. She was an amazing mom, grandma, and dog-grandma. When she first met Chloe she wasn’t much of a dog person. Chloe won her over pretty quickly and the two of them shared an incredible bond! She will be missed so much by all of us.
Today’s technique challenge was to use a grid design. I decide to do a layout about the day I took my niece to lunch on Mars (by way of NYC of course!) Page designed using Artisan 6 software!
When asked to scrap about something mundane that I do, feeding the family came to mind — specifically, Sunday breakfast. Most of the time my family doesn’t eat breakfast together – we all grab something: an egg, a cup of coffee, some cereal, or maybe just a banana. On weekends, for as long as I can remember, we’ve gone out for Sunday brunch. Covid-19 changed that and we were stuck home eating anything that was easy to grab like any other day of the week. At some point I “flipped the switch” and decided to be more grateful for my wonderful kitchen and the fact that I had my entire family with me. I thought about ways I could make Sunday brunch enjoyable again. I just needed to change my mindset. Now waking up early and baking the family a nice brunch has become something I really enjoy and look forward to as much as they enjoy eating it.
For the technique I used basic colored cardstock and added some textures to it.
