I adore this mixed media project that I created in a class some time ago with my friend Shannon. I used a collage background, as well as stencils, stamps, texture paste, pears pens, and gelatos to create this piece.
This was my first time using alcohol inks on tile and I was very happy with the results. I used an eye dropper as well as a straw to gently direct the ink where I wanted! Definitely need to play with this medium again! Supplies: a basic white tile from Home Depot and alcohol inks from Ranger.
One of the larger pieces I’ve created, this 16″x20″ wood canvas piece was inspired by my love of fairies. I used a collage technique for the base, then layered with gesso and paints. I added 3D embellishments like the necklace and butterflies to add more dimension to the piece.
