Today I was challenged to create a heritage page. I decided to design a layout showcasing the only “formal” photo I have of my great grandparents who emigrated from Russia in the early 1900s. I am really happy with how the page turned out and may continue designing more heritage pages in the near future!

It’s easy to scrapbook older photos and events when I create my page layouts. Now and then I am challenged to create a page that’s more of a “slice of life” moment describing things in real time. This is one of those pages that focuses, specifically, on where I am in life right now.

Rome had always been a city I dreamed of visiting. My husband felt the same way. We almost went there for our honeymoon but the cost was a bit steep for us at the time. We both agreed that “someday” we would go there together. It took us twenty years but we finally made it to “the Eternal City” and it was as spectacular as we had hoped. We may have had to wait two decades but it was definitely worth the trip!

When my two sons were little I always called them my boys. When they became adults I called them … well, my BOYS. Yes they’re both grown adult men now. I was recently asked what I call them since “boys” makes them sound like they’re still little. Honestly I can’t imagine calling them anything else. Am I crazy?
